The countdown is launched for school ! I have less than two weeks before delivering my two elder daughters back to their teachers. I have projects that I have to realize soon, among them a bag for my second daughter in which she will be able to pour her music book.

But, as an aperitive, here is a project I realized four years ago. In the schools of the city where we used to live, the children had to go to the canteen with a fabric napkin, marked with their names and a bag. Every friday, the whole stuff was given back to the parents for washing. I think that this system was really practical, far better than the one used at our actual school, where three-years-old children only use little paper napkins (I let you imagine how dirty their clothes come back home.

For the napkin, here is how I proceeded :
  • It has the shape of a large bib
  • a lovely cotton fabric for the front and white terry cloth for the back (a piece of an old towel)
  • a biais in which I added an elastic to slip the kid's head
  • eventually, a little easy bag closed by a ribbon, using the same cotton.
I will let you know pretty soon where the bag is !
